The Project

Our client is developing an internal admin tool aimed at streamlining the management of user-product relationships based on user roles. The application is similar to a CRM but designed for internal use, helping administrators track user interactions, monitor access permissions, and organize product associations through an intuitive interface. This tool will enhance the firm's internal operations and improve collaboration between teams.

As part of this project, we are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to contribute to the development of this crucial tool.

Your Role

As a Backend Developer on this project, you will be responsible for building and optimizing the backend architecture of the internal admin tool. This will involve working closely with a team of 3 developers (1 Backend, 2 Fullstack) to ensure seamless integration, scalability, and security. You'll be responsible for crafting efficient, maintainable, and scalable solutions using Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for the internal admin tool.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Implement efficient database structures and queries using PostgreSQL.
• Integrate the tool with AWS services like DynamoDB, Lambda, and other tools in the AWS ecosystem.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance applications.
• Write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Perform code reviews and assist with team mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the backend systems.
• Participate in agile development processes and contribute to sprint planning.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong experience as a backend developer, with a focus on Node.js and cloud technologies such as AWS. You should also be proficient in working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

Essential Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as a Backend Developer.
• 3+ years of commercial experience with Node.js and related technologies.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL, with hands-on experience in database design and optimization.
• Solid understanding of AWS services, including DynamoDB and Lambda.
• Experience building scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems.
• Strong knowledge of modern software engineering principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in an agile team environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with React for full-stack development.
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or Kubernetes.
