Our client is seeking an Azure SQL Architect to join their team for a freelance B2B contract that is expected to last 6 months, with potential for additional extensions. This position is Remote, but the candidate needs to be based in Germany.
Project details:
- Position: Azure SQL Architect
- Contract Length: 6 Months+
- Start date: ASAP
- Location: Remote (From Germany)
- Languages: English and German Speaking
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Deep expertise in Azure SQL Database, SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server architecture and deployment models
- Strong skills in database design, performance tuning, and query optimisation
- Proficiency with data security, compliance, backup/restore strategies, and high availability/disaster recovery in Azure
- Experience with migration planning and execution for on-prem SQL workloads to Azure (DMA, DMS, Azure Migrate)
- Ability to design scalable, cost-optimised, and resilient data architectures using Azure services (Azure Storage, Synapse, Key Vault, networking)
